Unfound Melody

There is an aching in my heart,
but I cannot find the words.

There's this passion for a song,
that has hidden chords.

There's a melody in my mind,
that just won't go away,
but every time i start to sing,
the notes don't want to play.

There's this tingle in my fingers,
as the phrases hum on by.

The notes they gently linger,
but escape as i try.

There's an urging that crescendos,
like the song that haunts me so.

It escapes me again,
but i just can't let it go.

There's this sadness in my heart,
but i cannot find the piece.

There's this passion for a song,
that may not come to cease.

All My Sons Prediction

In the first act Annie receives a phone call from her brother George. Since George is a lawyer, I think he is only coming back to his home town to cause trouble for Joe Keller. I think he will try to find a way to blame everything on Joe, and make it seem resonable enough for him to go back to prison. I think he'll try to get some sort of confession, or something to ease his thoughts on the situation.

I think, also, that Chris and Annie will leave their entire life behind to get married to one another. They will leave the mishap and their love ones in the shadow to start a life or their own.

Persuasive Techniques

My speech topic is about discrimination against women. With this topic, the best way to capture the attention of my audience would be to appeal to their emotions. So many girls in the class may feel the same way that I do, when it comes to the rights of women. Its a powerful subject that holds a lot of potential for emotion. As a woman, I know first hand how it feels to be judged in this way. That may bring us to using real life experiences and stories. Since it is such a strong topic for women, and some men, it would be beneficial to tap into their feelings and thoughts.

Fall-ing

I love the Autumn season. The leaves are beautiful colors, the smell of candy is in the air, and Thanksgiving is not far ahead. Not to mention my birthday lingers through these months. ;)  BUT everyone knows that Fall means Pumkin Pie. Who doesn't love a nice slice on a chili evening? Carve up those pumpkins and make a little bit of amazingness.

Bliss

Dale and I celebrated our 1(2) year anneversary. Technically we have been together 2 years, but I only count it as 1. More details in person.
We celebrated by first getting lost in Evansville trying to find the Fall Festival. We finally find a parking spot(free), granted we had to walk about a mile to get there. When we finally get there, it was so crowded that we just left. We had fun roaming, though.
After the Fall Festival, we went to Cici's! The greatest restaraunt alive! We also went to a pet store. At the pet store they had about 10 HUGE snakes out and the employees let them crawl on us. It was such an amazing experience. We have decided that when we get a place of our own, a pet snake is definetely an option. =)
Lastly, we went to see "The Other Guys". HILARIOUS! It was well worth staying in Evansville until 11:30 just to see a movie.

The next day our anneversary adventure continued. Dale and I decided to go to a pumpkin patch! It was sooo much fun! We had a blast picking out pumkins to carve. It was a wonderful weekend. =)

Dreamer

I wrote this Poem, and posted it on Jpfolks.com, that is where I am copying it from.

Hello Dreamer,
I am the Sandman.
Of dreams, I am keeper.
Sleep is at my command.

Fall, now, into bliss.
close your heavy eyes.
I'll sprinkle my dust, if you wish.
Soon shall be a mystical surprise.

Behold, Dreamer, a moment beyond compare.
Listen to such silenced charm.
Darkness will come, unaware.
I will stay to keep you from harm.

Dearest Dreamer, do not be afraid.
Relax to the lingering calm.
The moon, though, will soon fade.
Your night is held in my palm.

You will now drift.
I shall leave, for I must.
Your lids will not lift,
and I'll remain only as dust.

Blah.

I almost give up on college hunting. If college was a deer, it would still be alive, because I cannot find one worth shooting. Lame? Yeah, a tad. I don't know what to do anymore. Communications is completely different than Journalism, yet some colleges have Journalism included in their Communications field. I want to be a Mail Man. That is the route for me.
